“A Hero lies within You…”
Every so often, I find myself completely on my knees and begging for mercy. Questioning absolutely everything about my existence. “Why is all this happening in my life?”, “What have I done to deserve all this?”, “What’s coming next? 😱”.
But I must remember…. every single time that I have felt this way, I have overcome it! I have no idea how sometimes, but I need to remember the answer to that…. faith.
My thoughts are with those living in complete despair at the moment. ❤️ Feeling completely and utterly alone in the world… I know in my heart what that feels like. Not knowing if there will be any end to the suffering. 😞
Please keep looking deep within yourself to find any possible glimmer of hope that is there 🙏🏻
Remember, sometimes it’s not about the ‘ideal bigger picture’…. but more importantly, what you’re learning along the way….
I must say, when I think of all the times I have felt in despair, I don’t think I was practising any ‘gratitude’ at the time…
Those of you who keep getting up in the morning and facing the same demons that left you so tired the day before… you are warriors! 💪🏻
It does get better.
Time itself, does heal…
Sometimes you just have to be patient, and trust that things will all work out for the best. We don’t always have to understand ‘What’, ‘Why’, or ‘When?’. But I don’t think that’s the point…. If you believe it can be, it will be.
But a HUGE part of seeing things in your life improve, is TAKING ACTION.
Nothing changes, if nothing changes.
So when you are so deeply stuck in despair, how do you create change?
Awareness is 50% of change.
By being aware of what you don‘t want, you are already imagining what you do want.
What does that look like for you? Happy? Calm? Confident? Resilient? 🤔
Our minds are very clever…. we are wired to focus on strong emotions (which are usually negative ones 🙄) and therefore based on the memories we create whilst constantly focusing on the negative things, we are drawn to all the negative in our lives, more so than the positives.
BUT! If you sit down and really think about the good and positive things you have achieved in life, and consciously shift your focus to those… you already have evidence to substantiate a more positive lifestyle.
This doesn’t mean you have to make peace with absolutely everything that has gone wrong in your life BEFORE you can feel good… if you shift your focus to anything good happening in your life now, and draw on past positive memories for evidence, you will think, feel and act better NOW!
Easier said than done, I know… And when you’re in despair, it’s so hard to think of anything positive… but trust me, there is always something to be grateful for and positive about. Even if it’s your ability to imagine a better future. 🙏🏻
And here’s a hint…. you can never stop working on your personal growth!
You’ve come this far…. don’t give up now!
