What do you have that somebody else would do anything to have?

I was stopped in my tracks today and snapped back into reality when I was reminded to be grateful…. 😧

I was so caught up in the hustle and bustle of life, getting frustrated with my children and husband and just wanted to get what I had planned done!

I forgot my blessings…. 😞

We can have the absolute best intentions in life, but when we forget to really appreciate and be thankful for what we have been blessed with… what are we really left with?

Going to bed tonight, the one most important thing in my life, that’s on my mind, is FAMILY…

Today my family congregated in support of each other. We don’t see each other as often as we would like, but when we are all needed, we are there. I’m lucky that most of my memories have my family and close family friends in them. That in itself is something to be so grateful for. πŸ™πŸ»

I strongly believe, that if you fill your heart and mind with gratitude and appreciation, there won’t be much room left for stress and anxiety.

We are all at a different place in our life’s journeys. And we are not meant to understand how one another may be feeling. We are just meant to love, respect and support each other. ❀️

We are all born. Some of us amongst family… some not… I feel so sad for people who go through life without family 😞 I don’t want to imagine what that’s like. But I also know that some friendships are so precious that they turn into families. Those are the friendships to cherish. πŸ€—

I think the very minute we start taking what we have for granted, that is the minute we open our hearts to stress, anxiety and sadness. And if you carry that sadness around for a long time, it will come out in unhealthy ways. As I have mentioned in previous blogs, feelings are meant to be felt! And I find that if you don’t go through the process of a feeling, and let it pass on it’s own, it will come back and hurt you or someone you love, somehow, somewhere along the line.

So, how do we let go in order to move forward?

Forgiveness is a bit part of letting go. Whether it’s forgiving yourself or someone else, it’s the only way you can move on with your life and return to a grateful state.

My family are the most important people in life to me. I haven’t always had a husband and children of my own, and I forget there was a time where I really longed for them. I forget that I am so very blessed. πŸ™πŸ»

I believe that family is forever! Once you become part of a family, getting out is not an option. A piece of you will always belong with that family and we should fight tooth and nail through anything life throws at us!

I look around today and see the path the generations before me paved for our family. It’s such a wonderful thing to be a part of such a wonderful and strong family. ❀️ We, as humans, will sadly return to dust… but our memory and legacy will be forever engraved on the hearts of our family.

It is up to us, the next generations, to carry on with the values and traditions that were set out before us.

The world is very different now from when our parents and grandparents were young… but there is still faith, love and gratitude in the world 🌎

So, what are you grateful for today?

Today, I am grateful for; my family, my faith, my friendships, and my health.
